Partners Peter Dernbach, Christine Chen, and Ling-ying Hsu recently returned from representing Winkler Partners at the 2025 Interlaw Annual Global Meeting in Edinburgh. They spent a valuable few days connecting with the global legal community.
Many thanks to the host firm, Morton Fraser MacRoberts LLP, for their exceptional hospitality. They created a wonderful environment for all to reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and enjoy the beauty and culture of Scotland.
It was a meaningful event for our team. Peter Dernbach completed his five-year term as a Director and Treasurer on the Interlaw Board of Directors. Christine Chen, an active member of the Employment, Labor and Pensions Special Business Team and the Women of Interlaw Network Affinity Group, attended a panel on innovative talent retention strategies, noting that an individualized approach is one of the most effective strategies. Ling-ying Hsu, who heads our Media and Entertainment practice, found the discussions in the Global IP/IT and Sports, Media & Entertainment session particularly thought-provoking.
The four-day event was a great opportunity to share insights with esteemed fellow Interlaw members and underscored the strength of this unique network – a community built on collaboration, expertise, and genuine friendship. Unforgettable highlights included the Client Cocktail Reception at the historic Edinburgh Castle and the Ceilidh dancing during the closing dinner at the National Museum of Scotland.
The team is grateful for the experience and looks forward to seeing fellow members at the APAC Regional Meeting in Sydney February 4-7, 2026.
