Ling-ying specializes in handling intellectual property disputes for her clients. She also has an extensive background in general corporate matters such as drafting and revising commercial contracts and advising clients on compliance with Taiwan law.

With extensive experience in the technology, media, and entertainment sectors, she has built a strong reputation, particularly among clients in the advertising and gaming industries, who rely on her for strategic guidance.
In her trademark practice, Ling-ying assists clients with custom seizure and negotiation with the infringers to prevent counterfeit goods from entering the market. She has represented numerous renowned international companies in resolving trademark disputes, successfully protecting and enforcing their rights. Her copyright practice includes advising on licensing matters and dispute resolution, representing clients in both asserting and defending against infringement claims. She also provides strategic analysis on copyright issues related to emerging technologies, including deep learning.
To support clients’ daily corporate operations, Ling-ying drafts and advises on a wide range of commercial contracts, including licensing, distribution, design, and manufacturing agreements. Before joining Winkler Partners, Ling-ying served as legal counsel at an international software company for a decade, overseeing licensing matters across software, hardware, gaming, and manga/anime. Her wealth of experience as in-house counsel brings a deep understanding and appreciation of how corporate clients in the technology, media, and entertainment sectors think and behave.
In the gaming industry, Ling-Ying offers end-to-end support, guiding clients through every stage from game development to distribution. Ling-ying obtained her bachelor’s degree in law from National Taiwan University and her LL.M. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Ling-Ying was admitted to practice in Taiwan in 2000. She speaks Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese Hokkien and English.
