Niki Chen

Niki joined Winkler Partners in 2020, working alongside our intellectual property, transactional, employment, dispute resolution teams, with a special focus on trademarks. She assists clients with managing their trademark portfolios in Taiwan and abroad, covering prosecution, enforcement, maintenance, and renewal. She regularly collaborates with local legal experts in the APAC region to navigate country-specific trademarks laws and regulations and ensure that clients’ IP rights are well-protected and enforced across borders. She also guides clients in the strategic development and expansion of their trademark portfolios across diverse markets.

Niki is a part of Winkler Partners’ internal Mindful Business Charter team, supporting the firm’s commitment as a signatory to fostering well-being, effective communication, and balanced work practices.

Before becoming a member of Winkler Partners, Niki worked at several Canadian firms specializing in personal injury law. Apart from her experience in Canadian tort law, she also worked in Taiwan on U.S. immigration matters.

Niki is a licensed paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario and a member of the Ontario Paralegal Association. She holds an HBA from the University of Toronto and also graduated from Seneca Polytechnic (formerly Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology)’s Paralegal program. She speaks English, Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese Hokkien and conversational Korean.
