Ming Teng
Ming joined Winkler Partners in 2020 focusing on employment law and employer-employee relations, mergers and acquisitions, company formation, restructuring and dissolution. He also advises clients on data protection, telecommunications, and copyright issues as well as general contract matters.
In practice since 2013, Ming has assisted many international companies in acquiring stakes in Taiwanese targets, as well as helping them resolve contentious employment matters. Work highlights include advising an international hotel chain in its Taiwan licensing agreements, advising a famous global cosmetics brand on its online and brick and mortar distribution agreements for the Taiwan market, advising an international music streaming service in copyright issues in Taiwan, and assisting US telecommunications companies in obtaining or extending their operating licenses in Taiwan. Ming is also well versed in both real estate transactions (e.g., assisting a Australian telecommunication company to sell its cable landing station) and arbitral proceedings involving construction disputes. Prior to joining Winkler Partners, Ming worked at a domestic television company advising on licensing, brokerage, broadcasting and commissioning agreements.
Ming graduated from Georgetown University Law Center and National Taiwan University College of Law. He is a member of the Taipei Bar Association and speaks Mandarin Chinese and English.
