Chi-Hsien Nieh
Chi-hsien Nieh joined Winkler Partners in November 2020 as a member of the firm’s corporate and IP teams. His practice focuses on transactions in the media, entertainment, and emerging technologies space, including AI and blockchain. Work highlights include advising a leading music tech startup on its Web3-based licensing service, and assisting a Golden Horse Award-winning film production company with liability insurance matters. In addition to transactional work, Chi-hsien also helps manage trademark portfolio for a multinational tech company in the Asia-Pacific region.
Prior to joining the firm, Chi-hsien held legal internship positions at a global record label’s New York City headquarters and at a major US law firm’s Taipei office. In addition, he served as a pro bono intern at Fordham University’s Samuelson-Glushko Intellectual Property and Information Law Clinic, receiving a public service award in recognition of his work.
Chi-hsien holds a bachelor’s degree in music from New York University and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where he was the Senior Notes and Articles Editor for the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Law Journal. He is admitted to practice in New York. He is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese and speaks conversational Spanish.
